How do I download a sound file and WHERE do I do it. I tried adding a file as an attachment but the format that came up I did not recognise and it wouldn't play. I then did the same with a mp3 format file but that is too big as an attachment.

Hi Dave You will need to join & upload your sound files to Box net or similar in mp3 format CLICK HEREWhen you have uploaded a file to box net click on the word 'share' next to your file & it should give you a link to your sound file which you can then post within the forum You will not be able to upload sound files as an attachment to your posts as we have a 1mb file size limit for attachments Cheers Ted

Hi guys
I am an old member from around three years ago. Unfortunately, I have not been active for quite a while. Circumstances meant I did not have the time to devote to the forum. I have been trying to log in using my old details but, I a unable to do so. I believe my user was Gplucker and, my pass was something like 4gotiwas65. I keep getting a stupid google add whenever I try to go to recover password. In addition to the aforementioned, I believe my account has been accessed without my permission both recently and, a few months ago. I feel it safer for you to delete my account and details and, I may be able to start again.

Hi Roger, I am so pleased to see you back, I did wonder what had happened to you and asked if anyone knew if you were OK ages ago but no one seemed to know.

Hi Roger Good to see you again Your user name was 'Gpicker' not 'GPlucker' which may be why you couldn't log in? As requested I have deleted the account so you can re-register again. Please use a new password as you have posted your old password publicly so it's not a good idea to use the same one again It would be good if you can use Gpicker again so our members recognise who you are? if not, no worries. It may take a few hours for your member request to be approved, as soon as we spot it we will approve it. Look forward to seeing you in the forum again. Ted

Welcome home Duncan, we have missed you too Aw, shucks. You'll have me crying next Sandra. I don't expect a fanfare believe me, but my exit was not as I intended it to be. Lovely to be able to chat again. Hope my other friends will accept me back. Thanks Tony for your help. Duncan.

Hi all, Sandra, a dear friend for some years now gave me a link to your forum, I don't really know what goes on here as you restrict views of none members, so I don't know If I am suitable for your forum. I'm one of those people who has had a guitar for over forty years and have periods where I pick it up and make an effort, and then forget about it for months or years. I have never had any formal training and I'm not very good. Anyway thanks to cancer I had to give up my career and retired, so I did a bit more on the Guitar, and then last year, more operations and being told not to do anything strenuous for months, I thought I would get serious with it again, I have been spending hours weeks and months studying on the net (Something I couldn't do in the early days of course, isn't the internet wonderful) and I have improved a lot, This week I have been learning Tears in heaven, I play about 20 other things but none without a few bum notes or chords. I am 6'3 with large hands and when I put a finger on a string it touches the ones either side, so it's not easy, for the "A" chord I can only get two fingers between the frets on the three strings, but I persevere as I have wanted to play well all my 65 years. I started with an Ecko 12 string and took six strings off to increase the spacing, that works well ish, but my les paul is tough on the space. Anyway a bit about me so you can advise me if you want me here, all the best.

There are no qualifications needed (Not as I know of unless I missed something) to be a member not even playing a guitar or anything,it's purely down to you if you want to.I can only speak for myself I find it somewhere I like to be you can join in or just look in its up to you.
